Visual Description

On the natural, linen-toned painting board, Focky appears head-on and fills almost the entire picture. The neon-pink beak stretches wide across the lower half; a black contour lined with a chain of white dots frames it, and two small nostrils add a touch of humor. Above it sits the white single eye with a black pupil and fine, radiating crack lines.

The head is divided into segments like a fan: turquoise, silver-gray and lime green form triangles, arcs and rays that recall Art Deco ornament and stylized crowns. At the top, a bow-like element in gray and turquoise closes the form, while two white wings swing outward on the left and right. Short white motion lines at the sides make the figure vibrate; the neck continues the pattern in a column of turquoise, green and silver stripes. The work is signed by Ali Görmez at lower right.

Artistic Interpretation

“Focky 21” shows the cult duck as an urban guardian angel with an Art Deco look. The single eye stands for a concentrated, watchful gaze; the radiating head recalls helmets, crowns and futuristic architecture – an image of clarity and direction.

The neon-pink beak is statement and voice at once: it embodies courage, presence and the readiness to show yourself unmistakably. The wings point to lightness and agility – Focky seems like a character who “floats above” situations while still standing with both feet in everyday life.

Art-Historical Context

Stylistically, “Focky 21” moves between neon Pop Art, urban illustration and Art Deco references. The rigorously stylized figure, flat colors, dotted lines and radiating head pattern draw on street art, graphic-novel aesthetics and the ornament of the 1920s.

With Focky, Ali Görmez has developed a pop figure of his own in the tradition of iconic character art, exploring themes such as identity, self-expression and protection in the visual vocabulary of urban culture.

Exclusivity

“Focky 21 – November 2025 Edition” belongs to a limited edition of hand-painted boards. Each board is a one-of-a-kind acrylic original – with individually placed triangles, rays and rows of dots – and is signed by Ali Görmez.

Within the series, this motif takes on the role of the “Art Deco Neon Focky” and stands out for its combination of neon color and graphic rigor.

Collector Value

The work makes an eye-catching statement piece in a living room, office, studio or loft – wherever an image of urban energy and clean lines is wanted. Hung together with other Focky works, “Focky 21” brings a graphic, structured and slightly futuristic note to the series.

The compact 20 × 20 cm format makes it ideal for gallery walls and sideboards, or as an expressive gift for lovers of Pop Art, street art and Art Deco-inspired illustration.
