Visual Description
On the natural-toned painting board, Focky appears head-on. The strong coral-orange beak fills the lower part, framed by clear black contours and white dot accents. Above it sits the characteristic single eye with a black, organic line structure.
The head is divided into segments: around the eye stretches a mandala-like wreath of pink hearts, lilac triangles, golden dots and turquoise speckles – like a radiant aura of love. Two white wings grow outward in dynamic motion on either side, played around by curved lines that suggest a cheerful bobbing.
The neck runs into a vertical column of broad stripes in yellow, orange and violet with white dots in between – a graphic contrast to the organic shape of the head.
Artistic Interpretation
“Focky 18” is Focky in heart-radiance mode. The large eye stands for conscious perception, while the wreath of hearts and the mandala-like structure create a feeling of inner radiance, self-love and connection. The wings and lines of movement heighten the impression of a living, pulsing field of energy – Focky seems to be sending out love.
The coral beak brings warmth, humor and communicative power into the picture. The work speaks of a focus that comes from the heart: seeing clearly what is – and responding with openness, affection and playful lightness.
Art-Historical Context
Stylistically, “Focky 18” moves between urban pop, neo-pop and contemporary cartoon art. The iconic duck figure, flat color, strong outlines and the ornamental mandala structure around the eye draw on Pop Art, street art and tattoo aesthetics.
With Focky, Ali Görmez has developed a pop figure of his own in the tradition of character art, while taking up themes such as self-care, heart energy and emotional resilience – a modern mix of comic icon and spiritual symbol.
Exclusivity
“Focky 18 – November 2025 Edition” is part of a limited series of hand-painted boards. Each piece is a one-of-a-kind acrylic original with individual placement of hearts and dots and slightly varying color gradations, and is signed by Ali Görmez.
Within the edition, this motif plays the role of the “Heart Mandala Focky” – especially suited to collectors looking for a symbol of love and energy.
Collector Value
The work is a compact statement piece for anyone who wants to put a clear, positive sign on the wall – in a living room, studio, practice or coaching room. Thanks to its square 20 × 20 cm format, “Focky 18” fits effortlessly into gallery walls or can be shown on its own.
Together with other Focky works, it forms an emotional accent of color and makes an excellent gift for fans of Pop Art and urban art.
