Visual Description
On the natural-toned painting board, Focky appears head-on. The neon-pink beak stretches wide across the lower part, accented with a row of white dots along its contour – a strong eye-catcher of color. Above it sits the typical single eye, set in a head of vertical bands of turquoise, green, blue and gray.
Two white wings grow outward on either side; sweeping lines around the head and cheeks make the figure seem to sway gently back and forth. The neck runs into a graphic column of round fields and segments of turquoise, white, ochre and yellow-green – like a small mosaic beneath the glowing beak.
Artistic Interpretation
“Focky 19” is Focky as a neon statement. The large eye stands for a clear, alert gaze, this time paired with a striking pink voice: seeing and saying what is. The vertical bands of blue and green on the head recall different perspectives or moods gathering within; the beak carries them outward – brave, visible, unmistakable.
The white wings lend the figure lightness, almost like a stage entrance. The work speaks of a focus that dares to be colorful: clarity without camouflage. Focky becomes an ally for everyone who wants to celebrate their own style – loud in color, yet friendly in expression.
Art-Historical Context
“Focky 19” moves between urban pop, neon Pop Art and contemporary cartoon art. The rigorously stylized duck figure, flat fields of color, dotted lines and neon-pink beak draw on street art, graffiti and digital character aesthetics.
Ali Görmez continues the tradition of iconic pop figures but transforms it into a visual world of his own, in which Focky explores questions of identity, visibility and self-confidence – a contemporary pop character with an unmistakable signal color.
Exclusivity
“Focky 19 – November 2025 Edition” is part of a limited edition of hand-painted boards. Each board is a one-of-a-kind acrylic original, with its own arrangement of color bands, dots and wings, and is signed by Ali Görmez.
With its neon beak and cool palette on the head, this motif adds a particularly powerful, modern accent to the series.
Collector Value
The work makes a small but uncompromisingly eye-catching statement in a living room, studio, office or workspace – wherever a kick of color and a little pop attitude are wanted. Combined with other Focky works, “Focky 19” brings a clear neon note to the hanging.
The square 20 × 20 cm format makes it flexible for gallery walls, leaning on a sideboard or as part of a gift set for Pop Art lovers.
