Visual Description

Artistic Interpretation

“Focky 17” is Focky with a heart and an earthy rainbow. The large eye stands for alert, curious perception; the rainbow-like arc in natural tones symbolizes different phases of life and moods that come together harmoniously. The heart-shaped pendant on the neck points to vulnerability and honesty: the heart is not hidden but worn openly.

The coral beak brings warmth, humor and communicative power into the picture, while the pink wing adds a light, gentle energy. The work speaks of a focus that is emotional – between groundedness, emotional depth and playful self-irony.

More About the Artist

Ali Görmez, born in Bielefeld in 1980, lives and works in Berlin. His visual language brings together Pop Art, urban contemporary art and figurative character painting. From early cartoon drawings and influences such as Keith Haring, James Rizzi and Picasso, he developed iconic characters like “The Eddies” and “Focky the Duck.”

With clear contours, bold colors and strongly symbolic motifs, he brings themes such as Love, Peace & Art, focus, empathy and inner strength into a contemporary visual world.
