Winton Afrić
Concept Artist & Sculptor – Fantasy Creatures & Dragons
Winton Afrić creates creatures that present themselves as characters: with personality, stance and a story of their own. His work joins mythological imagery with precise anatomy; the dragon in particular stands at the center as a symbol of strength, knowledge and transformation. The result is sculpture that does not just impress but tells a story.
About Winton Afrić
Trained in classical drawing, painting and anatomy, Afrić found his ideal medium in digital sculpting. He translates digital designs into the physical world: lightweight 3D prints are refined by hand with epoxy modeling compounds, soldering-iron textures and finely shaded layers of paint. Realistic glass and taxidermy eyes and a painterly finish give the creatures their “liveliness.” The result is a hybrid practice of concept art, sculpture and collectible culture.
His focus is on narrative bestiaries: dragons, titans and hybrid beings between nature study and legend. Afrić understands them as narrative figures, legible in gaze, teeth, scale logic, scars and posture. Every form follows an inner logic of biomechanics, myth and symbolism. This makes the sculptures credible, tangible and a stage for the imagination at once.
Alongside his artistic work, Afrić has taught at universities for many years. Passing on method, from the idea through digital sculpting to the handcrafted finish, sharpens his own practice and opens it to collectors, creatives and studios. Workshops, masterclasses and insights into the process are a natural part of his work.
