Visual Description

A vibrating field of deep blue, with a dense, gestural touch in layered lines. Toward the center a luminous core opens up; the edges stay rough, almost like graphite. The surface pulses between stillness and current.

Artistic Interpretation

Uslu condenses movement into color. The blue acts like a resonating space: depth, breath, night – and within it a glowing point of focus. The repetitive, physical marks negotiate presence and time; traces of the act of painting become the handwriting of the moment.

Art-Historical Context

The work builds on gestural abstraction and Art Informel, with echoes of Color Field painting and monochrome traditions (think “blue as a space of experience”). The calligraphic lines join painting and drawing into a contemporary, reduced visual language.

Exclusivity

A one-of-a-kind work on linen in the artist’s characteristic, dense hand. The energetic blue composition is a concise position within his abstract oeuvre.

Collector Value

A work that shapes the room, with strong presence and a material-rich execution. The combination of concentrated color and striking gesture offers collectors a timeless position that is easy to curate.

More About the Artist

Sadik Uslu is a contemporary painter who has worked between landscape and abstraction for more than 25 years, building vibrant fields of color from multiple layers of acrylic and oil glazes.

His tactile surfaces, with inclusions of materials such as earth and sand, are characteristic of his work: they condense light, movement and groundedness into a pictorial energy you can feel immediately.
