Pink High Heels (Kiss)

Visual Description

A strong pink high heel dominates the canvas frontally; its heel cuts into the cool cyan background like an exclamation mark. Below, the word “KISS,” sprayed in white and dripping, sets an urban counterpoint. The surface shifts between smooth gloss and a subtly cracked, tactile structure—uniform from a distance, full of history up close.

Artistic Interpretation

“Pink High Heels” is an ode to dignity, memory and beauty that has been lived. The shoe stands for glamour and self-presentation, the cracks for time and experience. Wölke celebrates the imperfect: flaws as traces of adventure, romance and pain—worn with pride instead of hidden.

Art-Historical Context

The reduced iconography and signal color recall Pop Art and minimal pop; the dripping “KISS” tag links the work to urban-art gestures. In the tradition of a contemporary memento vitae, the work combines the symbolism of glamour with a wabi-sabi-like appreciation of patina.

Exclusivity

A one-of-a-kind work with a partially worked, tactile crackle structure. The cyan-painted edge allows it to be shown without a frame and strengthens its presence as an object in the room.

Collector Value

A clear, iconic motif with strong color dynamics and storytelling—a striking statement piece for collections with a Pop and urban focus, and easy to place thanks to its vertical format.
