Visual Description
“Free your whole live” combines urban architectural elements with typographic fragments and a silhouette-like figure. A black body running diagonally cuts across the picture like a graphic sign. In the background, city facades, walls, a parked limousine and abstract fragments of landscape overlap.
At the center appears the lettering “FREE YOUR WHOLE LIFE,” partly blurred, partly fragmented. The surface looks layered, almost like a wall marked by time and weather. Grays, ochers and blues dominate, complemented by transparent collage surfaces.
Artistic Interpretation
At the heart of the work is the idea of liberation in an urban context. The figure is anonymous, almost dematerialized, and seems like a movement between two realities—city and inner space, text and body, architecture and longing.
The lettering does not act as a bold slogan but as an unsettling intervention. “Free your whole live” remains both a call and a question. Freedom appears here not romanticized but fragmented—embedded in structures, walls, systems.
Olli Boehm addresses the tension between individual movement and the social framework. The body seems dynamic, almost like a breakout, while the architecture remains static.
Art-Historical Context
Formally, “Free your whole live” moves between contemporary photographic art, digital collage and conceptual typography. Integrating text as a pictorial element draws on postmodern visual strategies in which text and image act as equals.
The visual fragmentation recalls the aesthetics of digital glitch and artistic positions that treat the image as an interface—a surface that carries data, projections and constructions of identity.
Exclusivity
Characteristic of Olli Boehm is the fusion of real urban spaces with poetic interventions. The picture surface becomes a projection zone for social questions.
“Free your whole live” lives from the tension between message and ambivalence. It is not a manifesto but a visual field of tension.
Collector Value
This work is especially suited to collectors and spaces concerned with urban life, identity and social reflection. The typographic presence draws immediate attention, while the layered structure creates depth.
In a room, “Free your whole live” is at once political and poetic—a picture about freedom as an ongoing process.
More About the Artist
Olli Boehm combines digital photography with mixed-media interventions to create layered pictorial spaces in which reality, memory and atmosphere interlock. His works condense urban and human situations into visual metaphors—between blur, texture and precise composition.
