Ego im Schafspelz (Ego in Sheep’s Clothing)

A short getaway to finally catch her breath: from her job as a teacher, from her partner, from the kids. Ella reunites with her best friend from childhood and joins her at a retreat. The weekend becomes a test, deeply shakes Ella's values and uncovers a far-reaching web of conspiracies. It proves to be instructive, inspiring, erotic and deadly.

Rike Wölke guides readers vividly through the story and lets them take part in Ella's emotional journey, just as in her short stories. The thriller is erotic, suspenseful and unpredictable. It takes a socially critical look at timely issues and calls for personal responsibility and love.
