Description

Frontal female figures in a vivid pop palette: from the large-format Marylin to portraits with sunglasses, text fragments and stencil patterns, to the oil paintings Lady Boss and The Vamp. The backgrounds carry dots, stars, silhouettes and scraps of words, while the faces stay clearly modeled and look straight out of the picture.

Idea

This group asks how attitude can be staged. Titles such as “She is not for you,” “Make it happen” or “Lady Boss” are claims that the figures make good on through gaze, pose and irony. Glamour here serves presence rather than surface: whoever shows herself decides how much of herself she reveals.

III

Context

The visual language combines pop art iconography, the poster aesthetic of advertising and the stencil technique of street art. Graf lays sprayed patterns and lettering over a classically painted portrait. Her signature comes from this meeting of craft and urban gesture.

What sets it apart

Love, Life forever, She is not for you and Memories always (each 80 × 80 cm) form a trilogy: one format, one technique, one visual language. They work on their own and as a set. Marylin exists in two sizes, as a large close-up and as a compact version.

For collectors & spaces

Suited to spaces with an audience: hotels, law firms, agencies, restaurants and homes where art should start a conversation. Sizes from 40 × 50 to 80 × 120 cm allow single statements as well as wall groupings.
