Nur die Liebe zählt

Visual Description

On a stylized brick wall, graffiti in German and English gathers—at the center, the words “Hier kommt die Sonne” (Here comes the sun). On the left, Scrooge McDuck poses on a pile of gold in an old-school comic look; on the right, a black-and-white vintage VW Beetle in Baja style. In between, a stencil-like figure sprays a red heart. The collage of lettering, symbols and iconic motifs combines nostalgia, wit and urban energy.

Artistic Interpretation

The work plays with opposites: possession versus feeling, nostalgia versus the present, black and white versus color. The heart becomes the counterpoint to the gold—a clear message: love over status. The affirmative graffiti lines charge the view with positivity and turn the wall into a stage for hope, humor and humanity.

Art-Historical Context

The work links Pop Art (comic iconography) with urban art and graffiti (tags, stencils, lettering). Elements of appropriation, typographic statements and street aesthetics place the work in a contemporary visual language that recontextualizes everyday icons.

Exclusivity

A one-of-a-kind work with hand-painted layers, a collage-like feel and striking typography. The panoramic composition (60 × 120 cm) and the combination of old-school comics, lettering and urban-art gesture bear the artist’s unmistakable signature.

Collector Value

A crossover of Pop and urban art with a clear, uplifting message—highly recognizable and with a strong presence in the room. Ideal as a key piece for contemporary, corporate and private collections.
